This simple locknut is produced by installing 3 deflections in alternate flats precisely in the center the nut hex. The low cost of the basic nut and typical high volume production make the Full Hex Center Locknut inexpensive when compared to most alternatives.

Applications

The Hex Collar products are typically of large dimension and used in heavy equipment. While the collar design allows assembly with minimal thread damage, assembly speed must be reduced as diameters increase. Mating part must extend at least one full thread past the nut surface to assure locking element engagement.
