About the company

  • AS9100D-certified manufacturer of precision locknuts for industrial, military, and aerospace applications.
  • Growing its industrial business about 40% over the next two years.

The role

  • Own the industrial book: a major national distribution partner plus OEM and distributor accounts across the market.
  • Grow commodity locknut sales, and bring mil-spec and aerospace-grade locknuts to industrial applications that need more performance than commodity hardware delivers.
  • Lead and develop a small quoting and order-processing team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key accounts end to end: pricing, supplier agreements, line-card expansion, scorecards, and quarterly business plans.
  • Lead EDI and item-data setup for distribution partners, working with IT.
  • Improve quoting and order processing in the company's ERP system.
  • Develop new OEM and distributor accounts through application engineering.
  • Recommend products based on torque, temperature, vibration, material, and plating requirements.
  • Set pricing and review RFQs technically.
  • Coach the quoting and order-processing team and plan succession.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production on feasibility, lead times, and first articles.
  • Maintain the CRM pipeline and deliver weekly forecasts.
  • Track competitive pricing and market trends.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical sales in fasteners, precision components, or a related industry.
  • Experience selling through national industrial distributors.
  • Hands-on ERP experience with quoting and order processing.
  • Working knowledge of EDI (ANSI X12) and distributor item, pricing, and labeling data.
  • Experience mentoring sales support or customer service staff.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and specifications: NASM/MS/NAS standards, thread classes, prevailing torque, and plating.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.62); the role involves export-controlled technical data.
  • Able to work under NIST SP 800-171 / CMMC security practices.
  • Able to travel 10–20% of the time.

Preferred

  • Engineering degree or hands-on machining or cold-forming background.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.

Compensation

  • Base salary of $90,000–$110,000, plus performance bonus, with on-target earnings of about $140,000–$160,000 per year.
  • Full benefits package and travel allowance.

Equal Opportunity Employer.
