Jam Hex Top Lock ISO 4035, ISO 8675
Product Description
This simple locknut is produced by installing a locking impression on top of the jam nut hex. The low cost of the basic jam nut and typical high volume production make the Jam Hex Top Locknut relatively inexpensive. Jam Hex Locknuts are not required to meet the thread start or torque requirements of Full Hex locknuts.
Applications
Jam Hex Top locknuts are selected when the application demands a very low profile and can accept the low proof load of the thinner jam nut. Mating parts must extend one full thread past the locknut.
