Top Lock Flange (TechPlus)
Product Description
This common flange shaped locknut is a hex drive nut and washer combination. The TechPlus Locknut is proven to have the most consistent and residual torque of all similar flange type products in the market. The unique opposing concave locking impressions do not distort the across flats dimensions. The alternate flange is Gr 5, ASME 18.2.2 with a Tech+ locking feature.
Applications
The flange makes the TechPlus locknut ideal when assembling components that consist of thin materials, slots or non-precision oversize holes. Mating part must extend at least one full thread past the nut surface to assure locking element engagement. The flange will typically require more torque to produce a clamp load than non-flange nuts.
